Lanjekar Foods & Beverages Private Limited (“Morsus”, the “Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to respecting and protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains:

  • The types of personal and non-personal information we may collect from you when you use our mobile app or other digital platforms (collectively referred to as the “Services”); and
  • How we collect, use, store, protect, and share that information.

This policy applies specifically to information collected through our Services, including via electronic communications (such as emails, SMS, or WhatsApp messages) related to your use of Morsus.

As part of providing our Services, we may share certain order-related information (such as your name, contact number, address, and selected items) with third-party restaurants and delivery partners solely for the purpose of processing and delivering your orders.

However, this policy does not apply to any third-party websites, apps, or services you may interact with through Morsus (e.g., payment gateways, social media platforms, or external links). We recommend reviewing their respective privacy policies for details on how they handle your data.

Age Eligibility

Our Services are intended for users who are 13 years of age or older, or who meet the minimum age requirement as per applicable local laws (“Permissible Age”).

We do not knowingly collect or process personal information from individuals below the Permissible Age. If we become aware that we have collected data from someone underage, we will take immediate steps to delete it. If you believe that a child has used our Services or provided personal data, please reach out to us at support@morsus.com.

Information We Collect

This is information that can identify you directly. At Morsus, we collect personal information only when you voluntarily provide it — such as when you update your profile, add an address, or place an order. There is no separate registration process; users log in using their mobile number to access the app.

Personal information we may collect includes:

  • Mobile Number: Required to log in and authenticate your access to the app.
  • Name and Gender: Collected only if you choose to update your profile with this information.
  • Email Address and Date of Birth: Optional, and collected only if voluntarily added to your profile.
  • Delivery Addresses: Saved when you manually enter them during order placement or in your address book.
  • Profile Photo: If uploaded while customizing your user profile.
  • Order Preferences and History: Automatically collected as part of your usage to improve personalization and support services.
  • Location Information: With your explicit permission, we collect your device’s location to:
    • Determine whether delivery is available in your area,
    • Suggest nearby restaurants, and
    • Improve service relevance and app experience.

We do not collect or access your location in the background or when the app is not actively in use. You may disable location access at any time via your device settings, although this may affect your ability to place orders or check service availability.

Note on Order Information Sharing

To process and fulfill your order, we share relevant details (such as your name, phone number, delivery address, and order contents) with the selected restaurant(s) and assigned delivery partner(s). This is necessary to prepare and deliver your food accurately and efficiently.

Note on Payments:

All payment-related processing (including UPI, cards, and wallets) is handled securely by our third-party payment provider, Razorpay (or other compliant providers). We do not store or process any of your payment details on our servers.

How We Collect Information

We collect information in the following ways:

  • Directly from You: When you interact with the app — such as logging in using your mobile number, updating your profile, adding a delivery address, Browse restaurants, or placing an order — you voluntarily provide us with personal information.
  • Through Device Permissions (e.g., Location Services): With your explicit permission, we access your device’s location to:
    • Determine whether your current location is within our serviceable delivery areas.
    • Suggest nearby restaurants based on your location.
    • Improve service relevance and delivery accuracy.

Note: You may disable location access at any time via your device settings. However, doing so may limit certain functionalities of the app, such as checking if delivery is available in your area or viewing location-based restaurant recommendations. We do not collect or access your location when the app is not in use. We also do not store your location data permanently or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

How We Use Your Information

At Morsus, we use the information we collect to deliver, improve, and personalize our Services in a secure, relevant, and user-friendly way. Here's how your data helps us serve you better:

  • To Process, Deliver, and Manage Orders: Facilitate seamless order placement, confirmation, and tracking using your saved preferences and delivery address. Share order details (such as your name, contact number, delivery address, and selected items) with the respective restaurant(s) and assigned delivery partner(s) to fulfill your order accurately. Use your location (if permitted) to suggest nearby restaurants and verify delivery availability.
  • To Personalize Your Experience: Recommend restaurants, food items, and offers based on your order history, location, and app behavior. Remember your recent activity, saved addresses, and preferred choices to simplify and speed up future orders.
  • To Communicate with You: Send necessary notifications like order updates, delivery status, and payment confirmations via SMS, WhatsApp, or email. Respond to your feedback, queries, or complaints through our customer support team.
  • To Ensure Security, Legal Compliance, and Fraud Prevention: Monitor for unusual activity to detect and prevent fraud, misuse of offers, or unauthorized access to your account. Enforce our Terms of Use and fulfill obligations under applicable legal, regulatory, or law enforcement requirements.

How We Share Your Information

At Morsus, your privacy is our top priority. We are fully transparent in how we use and share your information. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties for marketing or commercial gain.

We process your information strictly to deliver and enhance the services you request — including order fulfillment, customer support, and app performance optimization. All data is handled securely within our systems or through trusted, compliant service providers.

We may share limited information under the following circumstances:

  • Order Fulfillment (Restaurants & Delivery Partners): To successfully process and deliver your orders, we share relevant details (such as your name, contact number, delivery address, and ordered items) with:
    • The restaurant(s) you choose for food preparation.
    • The assigned delivery partner(s) responsible for pickup and delivery.

    Note: Food packaging, hygiene, and quality are the sole responsibility of the respective restaurant. Morsus acts as a platform to facilitate the transaction.

  • Legal or Regulatory Compliance: We may disclose user information when required to comply with applicable laws, legal processes, or valid government or court orders.
  • Payment Processing: All payments are handled by our trusted, PCI-DSS-compliant third-party provider (e.g., Razorpay). We do not store or access your UPI, card, or wallet information at any time.
  • Analytics and Platform Insights: To improve our app performance, user experience, and resolve technical issues, we use tools like Google Analytics, Firebase, and Meta Analytics. These tools may collect anonymized or pseudonymized data about your usage (e.g., crash reports, screen views), but do not access or share personally identifiable information without your consent.
  • Internal Operational Use: All user data (e.g., name, address, order preferences) is used internally by Morsus for service execution, personalization, product improvement, and customer support.

No Third-Party Marketing or Ad Sharing

We do not share your data with ad networks or external marketing agencies. You will receive messages only from Morsus, such as:

  • Order updates
  • Delivery notifications
  • App feature updates
  • Optional promotional offers

Your Choices

At Morsus, we believe you should have clear and easy control over your personal information. Here’s how you can manage your data and preferences within the app:

  • Access & Update Your Information: You can view, edit, or delete your personal details — such as your name, profile photo, or saved delivery addresses — directly through the Morsus app under your Profile Settings.
  • App Permissions: You are in full control of what the app can access on your device. For example:
    • Location Access – Used to suggest nearby restaurants and check delivery eligibility.
    • Storage or Media Access – If used for profile photos or other features.

    Keep in mind: Disabling certain permissions may limit features like real-time location-based restaurant discovery but won’t prevent access to core services like Browse and ordering.

  • Communications & Notifications: We may contact you via SMS, WhatsApp, email, or push notifications for the following:
    • Service communications (e.g., order confirmations, delivery updates, account activity) — these are essential and cannot be opted out of.
    • Promotional content (e.g., special deals, new restaurant launches, offers).

Security of Your Data

At Morsus, protecting your personal information is a top priority. We implement strict technical and organizational measures to safeguard your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

What We Do to Protect Your Data

  • Encrypted Transmission: All data exchanged between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS (SSL/TLS) to ensure secure communication over the internet.
  • Data Encryption: Sensitive information — such as payment-related data handled by third parties like Razorpay — is processed using industry-standard encryption protocols and is not stored on our servers.
  • Secure Infrastructure: We use secure cloud hosting and regularly monitor our systems to prevent and detect vulnerabilities or threats.
  • Access Controls: Internal access to user data is strictly limited to authorized personnel only and managed using role-based permissions.
  • PCI-DSS Compliance: While we do not directly store or process payment data, our payment provider (Razorpay) is PCI-DSS certified, ensuring industry-standard security for all transactions.

Your Responsibility

While we do our best to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to:

  • Keep your login credentials private
  • Log out after using the app on shared devices
  • Contact us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized activity

Food Safety & Packaging Standards

At Morsus, we act as a platform that connects users with a wide range of restaurants. While we facilitate the ordering and delivery process, we do not prepare, handle, or package the food ourselves. All meals are prepared and packaged by the respective restaurant you choose at the time of order.

As such, food quality, hygiene, packaging, and safety are the sole responsibility of the respective restaurant. We encourage all restaurant partners to follow proper food safety standards and maintain hygiene in compliance with local health regulations.

Here’s what you should know:

  • Restaurant Responsibility: All food is prepared, packaged, and sealed by the restaurant before being picked up by a delivery partner.
  • Tamper-Evident Packaging: Some restaurants may use sealed or tamper-evident packaging, but this is not controlled by Morsus.
  • Delivery Handling: Our delivery partners are instructed to handle orders with care and in a hygienic manner during transit.
  • User Feedback: If you have concerns regarding the quality, hygiene, or safety of your order, you can report it directly through the Morsus app. We will work with the restaurant to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
  • Restaurant Audits (if applicable): We may, at our discretion, review restaurant listings and ratings to ensure they meet our platform standards, but we do not conduct kitchen inspections.

Disclaimer: Morsus does not accept liability for food-related issues, including but not limited to contamination, allergic reactions, or improper handling by the restaurant. For urgent concerns, we recommend contacting the restaurant directly.
